Radio Ranjan is a Community Radio Station, promoted by “Community and Rural Development Society (CARDS)” (www.cardsinternational.org) since 1979 is pioneer NGO promoting various development activities for marginalized communities. The main thrust of CARDS are formal and non-formal education, women and youth empowerment programmes, education programmes, emergency relief programmes, environmental protection programmes and various programmes basing on the need of the hour. During these four decades, we have been appreciated and recognized by various governments of different states and also from the Government of India.

We are highly thankful for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting by giving chances for NGOs to reach more remote areas and to create awareness among people given us an opportunity to establish Community Radio Stations to reach more people.

CARDS has utilized this Golden opportunity in establishing ‘Community Radio Station’ and named as ‘Radio Ranjan 90.4 FM’ at Guntur which has grant us permission. An administrative office of Radio Ranjan CARDS is established at “Door No. 26-45-16/78, P.O.Box No. 309, Santosh Nagar, GUNTUR – 522004, Andhra Pradesh Guntur, Andhra Pradesh”. The name Radio Ranjan is given remembering the Social Scientist , Dr. P. Ranjan Babu who was pioneer in establishing several educational institutions , developmental projects, for the Marginalized communities.

With a variety on-air shows and thematic programmes Radio Ranjan 90.4 has been successful in building strong bonds with the local community stakeholders and also being an integral part of every family in our target areas. Radio Ranjan CARDS is possible to be active with the cooperation extended by our promotee organization CARDS the Director Ms. K. Mary and Mr. Franz in making our dream come true. I request on behalf of CARDS Radio Ranjan that everybody in our target areas can utilize and see that everybody is benefitted.
